Accessibility statement

Last updated: June 26, 2026

PetClaim is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Conformance status

PetClaim is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard while we work toward full compliance.

What we support

  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy on every page
  • Color contrast meeting 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
  • Screen reader compatibility (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver tested)
  • Skip-to-content links on every route
  • ARIA landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) on every page
  • Alt text on all informative images
  • Form labels associated with every input
  • Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
  • Tap targets ≥ 44×44px on touch devices
  • Responsive layout from 320px up to 4K
  • Respects prefers-reduced-motion

Assessment methodology

  • Automated testing with axe-core on every release
  • Manual keyboard-only navigation testing weekly
  • Screen reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver monthly
  • Lighthouse accessibility audit on all money pages

Known limitations

  • Some PDF appeal letters generated by the Appeal Builder may have limited tag structure; an HTML preview is always available as an alternative.
  • Third-party Paddle.js checkout overlay accessibility is controlled by Paddle; a hosted-checkout fallback is available on request.
